People who want to actually disappear for a few days – no through traffic, no noise, nowhere to accidentally end up.
Hikers arriving on foot or by boat. The Walensee region rewards both.
Good to know
Nebenhaus has a private bath, a garden seat, and views straight over the Walensee.
Main house has the most soul. Bathrooms are shared on the floor.
The boat from Murg or Walenstadt docks right below – the 15-minute walk up is a good arrival.
What stood out
The location is almost absurdly good – perched above the Walensee, quiet enough to hear it. The kind of place you tell people about and they don't quite believe until they get there.
