Anyone who wants a proper mountain base without roughing it completely.
Hikers, bikers or people who just want to sit in the sun with a glass of wine after lunch. All equally valid.
Couples and friends. Not really a family destination.
Good to know
Take the train. Seriously – it's the Bernina line, a UNESCO World Heritage route, and half the experience.
Rooms are simple. At 2'091m, that's the deal.
Opt in for dinner. It's worth it.
What stood out
The Palü glacier. Glowing in the morning light, catching the last sun over the ridge at dusk, the sound of meltwater through the night. One of those views that just stays with you.
