Who is it for
Architecture enthusiasts – especially fans of Buchner Bründler.
Those who enjoy living outdoors: cooking outside, sitting by the fire, staying outside as long as possible.
Anyone drawn to strong contrasts – rough stone walls and refined design interventions.
People who appreciate cultural depth: the Onsernone Valley once attracted writers like Max Frisch and Golo Mann.
Good to know
Best when the weather is warm enough to fully live the outdoor concept.
Two buildings shape the stay: An open main house with a large fireplace, and the former “Winterstube” – a stone annex with a dark, heated wooden cube for sleeping, cooking and dining.
Only an outdoor shower.
Lots of walking involved – pack light.

What stood out
The wood-fired bath beneath the concrete dome. You light the fire yourself, wait for the water to heat, and sink into it while daylight falls through the open oculus above.
